A few things to remember

Choose somewhere that feels like you.

Trends can be inspiring, but the best setting is one that feels connected to your personality, your story, and the photographs you want to keep.

Stay open to alternatives.

Weather, seasonal changes, closures, and lighting conditions can affect our plans. Having a backup location or a flexible approach helps keep the creative process enjoyable.

Trust the creative process.

You don't have to know every detail before booking. Bring me your ideas, inspiration images, or even a general feeling you're drawn to. We can work together to find a location that makes sense for your vision.

So, what time should we schedule your session?

There isn't a universal answer. The right time depends on the look you're after, the location, the season, and the available light.

Morning sessions

A great option for softer early light, quieter public locations, and a fresh, natural atmosphere.

Midday sessions

Often best suited to shaded locations, covered areas, or creative concepts that intentionally use strong sunlight and shadows.

Evening sessions

Ideal for exploring warm, directional light and golden-hour portraits when the location and weather cooperate.

Outdoor Flash

Outdoor flash is especially fun when you want your images to feel a little different from traditional natural-light portraits.

Scenic lake view with calm blue water, rocky shoreline, and distant hills under a partly cloudy sky.

Have a place in mind?

Maybe you've spotted a location that feels like you, or maybe you have an idea and aren't quite sure where to bring it to life. I'd love to hear about it.

Send me a location you've been saving, share a spot you think belongs in this journal, or tell me what you're envisioning for your session. We can explore the possibilities together and find a setting that complements the story we're creating.
